Call for Papers of Proceedings on
            China's 4th International Symposium on Tunnelling

An immense investment plan amounting to 4 trillion yuan, as deployed by the State Council, in an integrated stimulus package of 10 major measures, envisaged for a stable and balanced economic development across the nation has emerged, amidst an expectation of continuously rapid growth of urban underground space exploration, mass transit project and tunnelling projects on a longer, larger, and deeper dimension.

To meet the challenge on such a scale that huge, on the ground of enhancing risk prevention and mitigation of construction risk, keeping tunnelling in tune with environmental harmony, China's 4th International Symposium on Tunnelling is to be held from 28th to 30th October 2009 in Shanghai, China, as jointly hosted by China’s Society of Civil Engineering, Shanghai Society of Civil Engineering and Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co. Ltd., after approval by Shanghai Municipal Government.
