The 2014 China Tunnel and Underground Engineering Conference & 18th Annual Conference hosted by Tunnel 
and Underground Engineering Branch of China Civil Engineering Society will be held on the end of October 
2014 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

This annual conference will focus on the theme of "modern urban underground space utilization and 
green tunnel project", which will be discussed through three sub-themes. They are "advanced concepts and 
design of modern urban underground space development", "advanced construction technology of tunnels 
and urban underground engineering" and ""disaster prevention, disaster reduction and environmental 
protection, energy saving technology of tunnel and urban underground engineering". 

All papers in this conference will be compiled into a collection of essays and published officially. 
We warmly welcome scientific and technical workers in the industry to contribute articles and participate 
in the conference actively.

During the conference, "2014 China Tunnel and Underground Space Technology Exhibition" will 
be held at the same time and the sponsors of the annual conference can get a preferential price to 
join the exhibition. Any unit who would like to take part in the exhibition should apply to 
the secretariat and do relevant procedures in advance for better arrangement.

Call for Papers

The paper should commence around the conference agenda, which requires the content to be specific, clear, 
precise and not to be published publicly. You should pay attention to the protection of intellectual property 
and trade secrets in writing with all faults. Full-text content should include no more than 6000 words and 
be no more than 5 pages. Please indicate the author's brief introduction (name, date of birth, gender, title, 
highest education qualification, graduation date, school, major, technical-professional field or 
research direction and contact information (mobile number, e-mail, QQ etc). Papers should be submitted 
by E-mail (author should keep manuscript). 

Some outstanding papers will be chosen to be published on "Modern Tunnelling Technology" (EI-Journal List), 
the rest will be published through "Modern Tunnelling Technology" in supplement, the paper format and 
requirements refer to the submission guidelines and text in "Modern Tunnelling Technology".
