Conference theme: Innovation，Security and Sustainable Development
An unprecedented large-scale basic construction in our country provides great opportunities for the
development of the civil engineering discipline. Due to the quick development of economy,
growing social production and living needs, modern civil engineering structure is becoming larger
and more complex, leading to new demands on new structural materials and innovation of structural systems.
It is an intrinsic demand for the development of civil engineering to promote science and technology
innovation in civil engineering, and to associate them naturally with architecture and environment,
so as to achieve sustainable development.
In the 21st century, natural disasters happened frequently. Some natural disasters threaten the survival
of human beings such as China Wenchuan 8.0 earthquake and Japan 9.0 earthquake, and what’s more,
the quality of civil engineering structures and safety are faced with severe challenges and tests.
Civil engineering technical workers are entitled with higher sense of responsibility to provide security
for human life and property.
After 2006 Xi’an, 2009 Shanghai and 2010 Beijing, 2011 international conference on technology of
architecture and structure gets back to Xi’an again. The theme of this conference is “Innovation,
Security, and Sustainable Development”, which provides a communicative platform for all those engaged
in civil engineering and related discipline research workers and engineering technicians.

2.Content requirement
The content of papers should focus on the conference theme, and contention clearly highlights,
arguments detailed and reliable, the language refining and fluent, the level clear and reasonable.
It also highlights practicality, creativity and prospectiveness. This paper should never publish in
academic journals or conferences at home or abroad.
3.Format requirement
Format requirement is shown in conference website.
4.Paper Submission
The paper should be electronically submitted by email to ictas2011@163.com
The official language of the conference is English. All the papers should be written with English.
Employed paper will be published in Applied Mechanics and Materials and Advanced Materials Research,
and all conference papers will be indexed by EI Compendex.
